Because activities including the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, as well as hormones and enzymes require calories, thrifty genes can convert what we eat into the energy needed by the human body. In particular, many people eat high-calorie foods, and just a little bit of nutrition will be excessive. Eating too much will naturally lead to fat accumulation and obesity.

NG weight loss method 1: Don’t eat starch

Chinese medicine practitioner Lou Zhongliang pointed out that many people think that they will lose weight if they do not eat starch. In fact, this way of eating can easily damage the stomach and intestines. A bad stomach and intestines can easily cause spleen yang deficiency, leading to insufficient yang in the body and decreased metabolic function. The first thing to do to lose weight is to have a correct concept: three meals a day must be eaten normally.

Many people who want to lose weight only eat protein and not starch. After a long time, problems will arise in the body because starch will be converted into carbon dioxide, water and energy after more than an hour. Basically, carbon dioxide and water are not bad for the body and will not harm the body. Little do people know that insufficient calories or unbalanced nutrition will result in poor spleen and stomach function, which will not only cause wrinkles on the face, but women may also experience amenorrhea, which is not worth the cost.

There was a patient who weighed nearly 130 kg when he sought treatment and it took him more than a year to lose weight to 56 kg. Recently, there was also a patient who weighed 107 kg and it took him nearly 9 months to lose weight to 62 kg. But at the same time, there were also patients who took 3 or 4 months but only lost 5 to 6 kg.

When observing these patients carefully, it was found that the patient who lost weight from 130 kg to 56 kg did so because she followed the doctor's instructions for her three meals. However, to completely burn 1 kg of fat, 29,260 kilojoules are needed. By this calculation, it means you have to swim for 7 hours to burn off 1 kg of fat. Other exercises such as skipping rope require even longer time. Therefore, losing weight through exercise cannot be achieved in a short period of time, but must be sustained for a long time.
