The Taiwan Cancer Foundation used a keyword survey of a massive online database to track discussion volume statistics from July 2015 to July 2016. The results showed that nearly 73% of netizens said that they gained weight after having a partner, and 55% said that they exercised less than when they were single, resulting in higher weight as they became happier.

In addition to less exercise, unhealthy eating out and dating habits are also one of the key factors leading to "happy fat". Nutritionist Cheng Xinyi from the Taiwan Cancer Foundation said that Taiwanese netizens often eat and drink when they go on dates, or engage in static leisure activities such as watching movies and singing KTV. Static entertainment is often accompanied by snacks. They eat too much high-fat and high-calorie food, but their physical activity is seriously insufficient. Over time, it is difficult for them to keep their weight under control.

Eat to be happy without getting fat! Eating out and being picky + cooking together at home

Just be happy, not fat! Nutritionist Joyce Cheng said that since lovers cannot avoid eating delicious food on a date, they should aim to be a pair of "picky eaters" and save calories together. It would be best if they could cook together. Not only can they taste the "taste of love", but the cooking process alone can consume 150 calories.

If you are having a date at a restaurant, try to avoid bad meals and reduce calories. At the same time, increase the amount of fruits and vegetables to improve nutritional density. When eating pasta, give priority to dishes with sauces with lower calories, in the order of stir-fry, red sauce, blended sauce, green sauce, white sauce and baked white sauce; for snacks, avoid "fried, baked" and thickened foods, and reduce the use of dipping sauces, do not process, and do not drink soup.

Having a pillow fight before bed can help burn calories

As for exercise, Joyce Cheng's nutritionist suggested that couples lift their feet while watching a movie together, which can burn about 240 calories. Having a pillow fight before bed can burn calories equivalent to running for half an hour, about 924 calories. It can not only prevent obesity and help lose weight, but also make the relationship sweeter.

Studies have found that consuming adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables every day and getting enough exercise regularly can help reduce the risk of cancer.
