It’s so unfair! Edema looks fat female Chinese medicine practitioner teaches calf massage

Office workers sit at computers for long periods of time every day, which can easily lead to poor blood circulation in their legs. Over time, this can cause edema, which at first glance appear to be like elephant legs. How unfair! If you want to have slender legs and avoid calf swelling, Chinese medicine practitioners suggest that you can regain beautiful leg curves through exercise and massage of specific acupoints!

Sitting for a long time can easily cause water accumulation in the calves. You may wish to press the acupoints moderately to help maintain slender and beautiful legs.

"Sitting in the office during the day and sitting on the sofa watching TV at night" has become the life portrayal of many people. People sit for up to more than 10 hours a day, and thick and swollen elephant legs are caused by sitting so much. Chinese medicine practitioner Tian Yimin recommends that people who suffer from calf edema, in addition to regular exercise to promote blood circulation, can also press the following three key acupoints while at work or at home to improve edema simultaneously.

Press these 3 acupoints to improve calf edema

Acupoint 1: Chengshan

The location is right in the center of the back of the calf, which is the pointed depression that appears when the calf is straightened. Moderately pressing the Chengshan point can remove moisture, relieve fatigue, relax muscles and bones, and improve leg pain. It is very suitable for people who sit or stand for long periods of time.

Acupoints 2/3 Yinjiao

This acupoint is located on the inner side of the ankle, 3 inches above the tip of the ankle (equivalent to the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger put together). Moderately pressing Sanyinjiao every day can promote blood and lymph circulation, help water metabolism, and is effective in eliminating edema.

Acupoint 3/Yinlingquan

Located on the inner side of the calf, in the depression below the medial tibial condyle. Pressing Yinlingquan can help the body excrete excess water, improve blood circulation, and help reduce calf swelling caused by sitting or standing for long periods of time.
