In order to allow citizens to have fun and eat safely, the New Taipei City Government's Health Bureau has provided guidance to 400 catering businesses in nine major scenic areas, including Tamsui, Bali, Shenkeng, Ruifang, Wulai, Wanli, Sanxia, Yingge, and Xindian, to apply for guidance from the Health Bureau and pass health certification. The certification mark recognizes the efforts of the stores and at the same time improves the hygiene and food safety of New Taipei City citizens. In addition to Yingge Wengzai Noodles, other stores in Yingge District such as Changying Meatballs, Yilan Tubaozi, and A-Po Sushi have passed the hygiene certification (the list can be found on the Food Nutrition Safety website of the Health Bureau at http://food.tpshb.gov.tw/m5_1.aspx). During the certification process, scholars and experts hired by the Health Bureau will provide on-site guidance to businesses on establishing hygiene management of cooking workplaces, personal hygiene management of employees, toilet hygiene management, quality management of dining places, and the establishment of relevant records. They will also evaluate the performance and rank them at three levels: "Excellent", "Good", and "Average". In addition to issuing seals for businesses to display, the Health Bureau will also announce them on its website and assist in marketing to encourage people to go there for consumption. Chen Xiaozhong, general manager of Yingge Wengzai Noodles, said that the noodle shop has been in business in Yingge for more than 10 years. In order to operate in a modern way, they came up with the idea of integrating with local industries and invested more than 5 million to make molds and find factories to produce tableware. No matter whether it is the bowls for the main products or the sauce cups, they are all fired at a high temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius and are safe to eat. In addition, the ingredients used in the store are bean and vegetable noodles, which are nearly twice as expensive as ordinary noodles. Chen Xiaozhong pointed out that although Yingge Wengzai Noodles is an old restaurant, the shareholders run it with an entrepreneurial spirit.
