The best in the world! 1 liang of panda tea costs NT$100,000

What is the most expensive tea in the world? According to the Guangzhou Daily, a mere ounce of Sichuan-produced "Panda Tea" is sold for about 21,986 yuan, or more than 102,000 Taiwan dollars. This is also the futures price announced by Panda Tea founder An Yanshi. To this end, the founder An Yanshi will also apply for the Guinness World Record for the world's most expensive tea. Panda tea is tea grown using panda feces as fertilizer. It is said that pandas have poor gastrointestinal absorption function and their feces retain 70% of nutrients, making them organic fertilizer transporters. The panda feces that An Yanshi uses to grow tea all come from the Giant Panda Breeding Base in Sichuan.

According to inquiries, an adult giant panda produces about 20 kilograms of feces a day. There are dozens of giant pandas in the Sichuan Panda Base, which produces more than 200 tons of feces a year. Giant pandas mainly eat bamboo, and their feces are high in fiber.

Regarding the idea proposed by An Yanshi, Tang Chunxiang, a professor-level senior engineer and assistant to the director of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, believes that it is feasible to use panda feces as fertilizer for growing tea, but no one has ever studied how much nutrients panda feces has and what the anti-cancer effect of the tea grown from it is, so no conclusion can be drawn casually.
