After the Ma government "planned" to open up imports of American beef containing ractopamine, netizens on the social network Facebook launched a fan group called "Anti-mad cow disease, American beef, and ractopamine" alliance. Nearly 30 netizens gathered for the first time to hold an organizational meeting a few days ago and decided to launch a larger-scale protest at the Longshan Temple Square in Taipei on April 15 to defend the dietary health of the Chinese people.

During the organizing meeting, Lin Jiaxing, convener of the Facebook fan group "Anti-mad cow disease, American beef, and Clenbuterol" alliance, revealed that the Ma government's discussion of the issue of Clenbuterol is actually covering up the more serious "mad cow disease" incident and even regards mad cow disease as the final crisis of divine punishment for mankind.

Lin Jiaxing pointed out that the crisis of mad cow disease carried by American beef lies in the fact that after infection with mutated prion protein, the bacteria cannot be killed by burning at a temperature of one thousand degrees Celsius, and it is still infectious even after turning into ashes. The incubation period is as long as forty years. The cattle are carriers before the disease occurs, and their excrement is infectious. Even radioactivity, chemical agents, and antibiotics are ineffective against them. This pathogen is neither a bacterium nor a virus, and human antibodies cannot provide any protection. Even vegetarians have the chance to be infected with mad cow disease.

Dr. Wu Wu-Ming, a former vice presidential candidate, was also invited to the meeting and said that the real meaning of the Facebook netizens' campaign against mad cow disease, American beef, and clenbuterol is that the Chinese people are facing an overbearing government and that the Constitution has been amended to the point where it is unable to restrain an arrogant president. Wu Wu-Ming further said that he had consulted Dr. Gao Zi-Min, an authority on artificial hearts, and found that the harm of clenbuterol to the human body is enough to cause dysfunction of the heart valves.

Some netizens ridiculed that it turns out that Ma and cows are one family. In the eyes of the government headed by Ma's team, the lives of the people are as worthless as ants. They do not rule out joining forces with civil groups such as the Housewives Union Environmental Protection Foundation, the Housewives Union Consumer Cooperative, and the Consumers' Foundation to launch another referendum signature campaign against "mad cow disease, American beef, and clenbuterol" and initiate a strong resistance campaign with 80,000 people taking to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the Ma government's disregard for the health of the people.
