Before menstruation, vulva itching, vaginal discharge, strong odor

On the eve of menstruation, the vulva is itchy and the leucorrhea is heavy and smelly. Today, I found that the leucorrhea is dregs and may be caused by vulvovaginal candidiasis, bacterial vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, etc., which can be treated with local and systemic medications.

1. Vulvovaginal Candida infection:

Mainly caused by Candida infection, it can cause inflammatory reactions in the vagina and surrounding tissues, manifested as vulvar itching, especially at night when the itching symptoms will be aggravated, and may be accompanied by abnormal vaginal discharge, which may be in the form of tofu dregs or curd, and a few patients may also have odor. Clotrimazole tablets, clotrimazole suppositories, miconazole nitrate vaginal soft capsules and other drugs can be used topically under the guidance of a doctor, and oral nystatin tablets, fluconazole capsules, itraconazole capsules and other drugs can also be taken.

2. Bacterial vaginosis:

It may be caused by factors such as poor health and sexual activity, which can lead to disturbance of normal vaginal flora, manifested as increased vaginal discharge, abnormal characteristics, fishy odor, and may also be accompanied by mild vulvar itching or burning sensation. Drugs such as metronidazole suppositories, tinidazole suppositories, and clindamycin phosphate suppositories can be used for local treatment. Oral metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, and other drugs can also be used for systemic treatment.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis:

It is mainly caused by Trichomonas vaginalis infection, which changes the pH value of the vagina. Clinical symptoms include vulvar itching, increased vaginal discharge, etc. Metronidazole suppositories, tinidazole suppositories, ornidazole suppositories and other drugs can be used for local treatment, and metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, ornidazole tablets and other drugs can also be taken orally.

In addition to the above reasons, there may be other reasons, such as cervicitis, which also requires timely treatment.
