Pay attention to postmenopausal uterine bleeding

Pay attention to postmenopausal uterine bleeding

In the outpatient clinic, we often encounter some postmenopausal women with vaginal bleeding, which can be more or less. Some patients do not pay attention to this. We even see patients who have been postmenopausal for 7-8 years and have vaginal bleeding for 1 year. They are eventually diagnosed with endometrial cancer, losing the opportunity for early diagnosis, reducing the quality of life and survival time. After menopause, uterine bleeding, the first disease to be ruled out is endometrial cancer.

Common symptoms of endometrial cancer:

1. Uterine bleeding: Irregular vaginal bleeding before and after menopause is the main symptom of endometrial cancer. It is usually a small to moderate amount of bleeding, and rarely a large amount of bleeding.

2. Vaginal discharge: bloody leucorrhea, odor, and even rotten meat-like tissue.

3. Pain: mostly occurs in the late stage.

4. Others: compression symptoms, feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, pain, weight loss, metastatic symptoms, etc.

For postmenopausal women, once the above symptoms occur, they must go to a regular hospital for treatment and pay attention to the thickness of the endometrium, blood flow signals, etc. At the same time, some patients who have a health check-up must pay attention to the thickness of the endometrium. Even if there are no obvious clinical symptoms, if there are any indications of endometrial thickening, they should seek medical attention in time.

High-risk groups: patients with obesity, hypertension, and diabetes have a high incidence rate. Women who use products with high estrogen levels for a long time, women with polycystic ovary syndrome, and patients whose immediate family members have malignant tumors.

Of course, for pre-menopausal women, if they experience symptoms such as abnormal thickening of the endometrium and irregular vaginal bleeding, they should also pay attention!

Pay attention to postmenopausal bleeding and protect your health.
