How to treat cervical hypertrophy

How to treat cervical hypertrophy

Cervical hypertrophy is a pathological type of chronic cervicitis. Chronic inflammation causes cervical tissue hyperplasia, resulting in cervical hypertrophy.

There are three main methods for treating cervical hypertrophy:

1. Drug treatment: For mild cervical hypertrophy, if there are no obvious symptoms, you can use drug treatment under the guidance of a doctor, such as antibiotics, Chinese patent medicine, etc. to control inflammation and relieve symptoms. Commonly used drugs include cefuroxime axetil tablets, metronidazole suppositories, and Jingangteng capsules.

2. Physical therapy: For moderate or severe cervical hypertrophy, physical therapy can be considered, such as cryotherapy, laser therapy, etc. Physical therapy can effectively reduce the volume of the cervix and improve symptoms, but it is necessary to note that sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment.

3. Surgical treatment: For severe cervical hypertrophy, if drug treatment and physical therapy are ineffective, surgical treatment can be considered. Surgical treatment can completely remove the hypertrophic cervical tissue, but it needs to be performed under the advice of a doctor to avoid unnecessary damage and complications.

During the treatment of cervical hypertrophy, patients need to maintain good hygiene habits and avoid excessive or unclean sexual intercourse. At the same time, they need to go to the hospital for regular checkups to detect and deal with problems in a timely manner.

The treatment method for cervical hypertrophy needs to be selected according to the patient's specific situation. Drug therapy, physical therapy and surgical treatment are all feasible options. During the treatment process, patients need to actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment suggestions and maintain good living habits and hygiene habits in order to recover as soon as possible.
