How to check for premature ovarian failure

How to check for premature ovarian failure

Premature ovarian failure refers to a disease in which a woman's ovaries fail, and she develops amenorrhea accompanied by increased blood follicle-stimulating hormone levels and decreased estrogen levels. Under the guidance of a doctor, patients can make corresponding diagnoses through average blood hormone levels, AMH screening, B-ultrasound examinations, genetic-related tests, etc.

Methods for detecting premature ovarian failure:

1. AMH screening for blood hormone level detection: During the process of premature ovarian failure, the estrogen and progesterone secreted by the ovaries will decrease. Therefore, if symptoms of suspected premature ovarian failure appear, you should cooperate with your doctor to complete the testing of ovarian hormones, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, AMH and other hormone levels, so as to clarify the degree of ovarian dysfunction and the severity of the disease based on the changes in hormone levels.

2. B-ultrasound examination: B-ultrasound examination is an auxiliary examination for diagnosing premature ovarian failure. Through B-ultrasound examination, it can be clearly found that the uterus is too small or the bilateral ovaries are obviously atrophied.

3. Genetic-related testing: Since premature ovarian failure has the possibility of being inherited, patients should cooperate with their doctors to complete chromosome examinations after experiencing symptoms of premature ovarian failure to rule out the possibility that premature ovarian failure is caused by chromosomal abnormalities.

Precautions for premature ovarian failure:

Patients with premature ovarian failure should avoid excessive mood swings, keep a good mood, and avoid excessive tension, anxiety and other emotional states that have a negative impact on the body. They can appropriately engage in activities that are beneficial to physical and mental health, such as running and yoga, which will help control the progression of the disease.
