How to prevent ovarian cyst torsion and what effects does it have on the body

How to prevent ovarian cyst torsion? What effects does it have on the body?

Ovarian cyst pedicle torsion is a complication of ovarian cysts and one of the gynecological acute abdomens. It often occurs when there is a sudden change in body position, early pregnancy or after delivery. When the ovarian cyst pedicle torsions occur acutely, the patient suddenly experiences severe lower abdominal pain, which may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and even shock in severe cases.

Ovarian cyst pedicle torsion can cause congestion and even rupture of blood vessels and bleeding. The cyst should be removed immediately, otherwise there will be serious consequences. The main preventive measures are regular gynecological examinations, early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment. If ovarian abnormalities are found and cannot be diagnosed, regular follow-up is necessary. Patients with ovarian cysts should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Ovarian cyst torsion affects the body:

1. Mental factors: such as mental stress or excessive anxiety, which can affect the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis and inhibit ovulation, leading to infertility.

2. Central influences of female infertility: endocrine disorders of the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and ovaries, pituitary tumors or scars can all lead to ovarian dysfunction and infertility.

3. Local ovarian factors of female infertility: such as congenital absence of ovaries or immature ovaries, premature ovarian failure, polycystic ovaries, certain ovarian tumors such as granulosa-thecoma cell tumor, ovarian blastoma, etc., which will affect the secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation.

4. Female systemic diseases: metabolic diseases such as severe malnutrition, chronic diseases, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, diabetes, adrenal dysfunction, etc. can also lead to infertility.
