Most women have uterine fibroids

Most women have uterine fibroids

With the advancement of the New York Times, women have assumed more and more responsibilities, and at the same time, their health has also been tested. Gynecological diseases threaten women's health, such as uterine, ovarian, fallopian tube, vulvar tumors, etc. Take uterine fibroids as an example, one-third of women have uterine fibroids.

Although the incidence of uterine fibroids is high, don't be afraid. ~98% of uterine fibroids are benign and most patients have no symptoms. Only a few people have heavy menstrual periods and infertility. Uterine fibroids are hormone-dependent tumors that grow rapidly during puberty and reproductive years and usually shrink slowly after menopause.

About 1% are malignant, called uterine sarcoma, which spreads rapidly and has a relatively high mortality rate. Don't be careless, and be especially careful when you encounter the following three situations: Uterine fibroids grow rapidly in a short period of time; there were no symptoms before, but suddenly there is pain and bleeding; after menopause, fibroids do not disappear and continue to grow.

The cause of uterine fibroids is unclear and cannot be effectively prevented, but B-ultrasound can be used to find them during physical examinations. If there are no symptoms, continuous observation is required; if the tumor is large or has affected the body, surgical treatment can be selected. The surgery can be performed under laparoscopy and is relatively less traumatic; for women of childbearing age, the uterus can also be retained without affecting fertility.

As the saying goes, women hold up half the sky, but gynecological tumors are very harmful to women's health. Uterine fibroids are the most common gynecological tumor, affecting one-third of adult women. Many people never know they have this disease.
