Can uterine coldness lead to adenomyosis?

Uterine coldness is a common symptom in women. Uterine coldness is not a disease, but a phenomenon at best. Women with uterine coldness are prone to gynecological diseases. So can uterine coldness lead to adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis, also known as "intrinsic endometriosis," is a special form of endometriosis. The real cause of the disease is still inconclusive, but it is generally believed to be caused by factors such as genetics, cesarean section, abortion, and the patient's own high estrogen levels. Therefore, adenomyosis itself has little to do with uterine cold.

In the field of traditional Chinese medicine, adenomyosis has always been classified as dysmenorrhea and irregular menstruation. It is believed that adenomyosis is caused by qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm and dampness, uterine coldness and other reasons. Therefore, the purpose of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is often to warm the yang and tonify the kidney, warm the meridians and dispel cold, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and promote fertility. The patients are comprehensively diagnosed, treated and conditioned using methods such as oral administration of Chinese medicine, acupoint placement on the navel, and hot compress with medicine.

Generally speaking, TCM treatment of adenomyosis can alleviate the patient's symptoms such as dysmenorrhea and menstrual disorders to a certain extent. However, since it is impossible to eliminate the adenomyosis lesions in the patient's uterine muscle layer, it cannot cure the adenomyosis.

Although uterine cold is not necessarily related to adenomyosis, long-term uterine cold can easily cause various gynecological symptoms in women. Therefore, women must take good care of their uterus and seek physical therapy in time if uterine cold occurs.
