Does adenomyosis cause back pain?

Nowadays, the pace of life is getting faster and faster, which has also led to the continuous proliferation of many diseases. Among them, adenomyosis is very harmful to women's health. So, will adenomyosis cause back pain?

Low back pain caused by adenomyosis is a very rare condition. When some patients have very severe dysmenorrhea, the pain often radiates to the waist. The symptoms of low back pain are not necessarily caused by adenomyosis, and female friends should pay special attention.

When the endometrium spreads and invades the uterine muscle wall, it is called adenomyosis. If the invaded endometrium is limited to a certain part of the uterine muscle layer, it causes extreme proliferation of smooth muscle cells and forms spheres. Some people call it adenomyoma, both of which are endometriosis. The formation of adenomyosis or adenomyoma may be related to long-term stimulation of excessive estrogen. The main symptom of patients is gradually worsening dysmenorrhea. Endometrial adenomyosis is often complicated by endometrial hyperplasia, which is also the reason for increased menstruation. About half of patients suffer from infertility.

Currently in hospital for treatment of adenomyosis:

1.Drug treatment can only relieve symptoms.

2. If the patient is close to menopause, conservative treatment can be adopted.

3. If the patient has severe dysmenorrhea for a long time, a total hysterectomy should be performed. Whether the ovaries are preserved depends on the patient's age and whether there are ovarian lesions.

After being diagnosed with adenomyosis, you must actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment to avoid delaying the disease and causing serious consequences. I wish you good health!
