What is the relationship between ovarian cysts and pregnancy? What are the symptoms of ovarian cysts?

1. The ovaries are the place where the eggs develop, mature and are discharged. The follicles at different stages are in the ovarian cortex. If the ovaries are damaged, the development, maturation and discharge of the eggs will be impaired, which will lead to infertility. The mechanism of ovarian cysts causing infertility is related to interference with ovulation. If the cyst is small and does not affect ovarian ovulation, it will not affect pregnancy.

2. If the cyst occupies the entire ovary and secretes some hormones, affecting ovulation, it will have a certain impact on pregnancy. Some ovarian cysts with endocrine functions, such as ovarian thyroid tumors, ovarian granulosa-thecoma cell tumors, testicular blastomas, etc., can produce certain corresponding hormones due to the different tumor tissue components they contain, thereby interfering with the normal secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation, resulting in amenorrhea, uterine bleeding, hirsutism and infertility.

3. There are many other symptoms of ovarian cysts. Clinically, they are mostly manifested by lower abdominal pain, lower abdominal discomfort, increased leucorrhea, yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea odor, irregular menstruation, and usually a solid and painless swelling in the lower abdomen. Sometimes sexual intercourse may cause pain. When the cyst affects hormone production, symptoms such as irregular vaginal bleeding or increased hair growth may occur. If the cyst is twisted, there will be severe abdominal pain, dyspnea, decreased appetite, nausea and fever.
