What is the difference between uterine fibroids and uterine cysts?

Uterine fibroids and uterine cysts have different causes, symptoms, and treatments.

1. Different causes:

The occurrence of uterine fibroids is generally related to genetic factors, sex hormone levels, etc. Uterine cysts can be caused by congenital factors or secondary to other diseases, such as cervical retention cysts, parasitic cysts, etc.

2. Different symptoms:

Patients with uterine fibroids often experience symptoms such as abnormal menstruation, abdominal masses, increased leucorrhea, and lower abdominal swelling. Some patients may not have obvious symptoms. Patients with uterine cysts may experience a slight sense of pressure, abdominal pain, or a gradually increasing feeling of fullness in the abdomen. A small number of patients may experience compression symptoms due to the increase in the size of the cyst, such as frequent urination due to bladder compression.

3. Different treatments:

Uterine fibroids can usually be treated clinically through drugs, surgery, etc. Commonly used drugs include Guizhi Fuling Capsule, Hongjin Xiaojie Capsule, Gongliu Xiaojie Capsule, etc. Surgery is the main clinical treatment for uterine cysts, including cystectomy and hysterectomy.

In addition to the above differences, there are also different prognostic differences. During treatment, patients are advised to eat a light diet and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Do not eat spicy food. Patients can also do more exercise, such as skipping rope, running, playing badminton, etc., which can improve immunity and help prevent diseases.
