Is it necessary to take anti-inflammatory drugs before electrotherapy for cervical erosion?

1. Cervical erosion generally refers to cervical columnar epithelial ectopia. Anti-inflammatory treatment is generally required before electrotherapy of cervical columnar epithelial ectopia.

2. Cervical columnar epithelial ectopia is a normal physiological phenomenon, usually due to excessive secretion of estrogen, which causes the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal to move to the exit of the cervical canal. Most patients do not have obvious symptoms. When exposed to external stimuli or infection by pathogenic microorganisms, it will induce symptoms of cervicitis, such as abnormal leucorrhea, lower abdominal pain, bleeding after sexual contact and other discomfort reactions, which require treatment. Patients need to undergo electrotherapy only when the inflammation and infection are under control, so anti-inflammatory measures are required. Patients can take amoxicillin capsules, cefuroxime capsules, doxycycline hydrochloride tablets and other drugs for treatment as prescribed by the doctor. When the inflammation is under control, electrotherapy can be performed.

3. Electrotherapy is a physical therapy method that uses a special instrument to enter the female uterine cavity through a controlled electric current to treat erosion or skin damage. It usually uses the high heat effect to immediately coagulate, necrotize, scab, and fall off to achieve the therapeutic effect. After the operation, a small amount of vaginal bleeding and increased secretions may occur. It is recommended not to have sexual intercourse for a short period of time to avoid affecting the treatment of the disease.

4. When a woman feels unwell, she must go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital in time.
