What to do about menstrual pain

What to do when you have menstrual pain?

How to quickly relieve the pain of dysmenorrhea? The first reaction of many women is to take painkillers. Although painkillers work quickly, improper use of the medicine may affect liver and kidney function and cause gastric bleeding. In fact, acupuncture, massage, and hot compress can also play a good role in relieving dysmenorrhea.

Here's how:

1. Take painkillers. When menstrual cramps begin, women can take painkillers with milk or food. Painkillers take effect after 20-30 minutes and last for 12 hours. Long-term use of this method is not recommended.

2. Moxibustion. Select acupuncture points such as Sanyinjiao and Zusanli, and hang the moxa stick at a height of about 3 cm from the acupuncture point to make the area warm without burning pain. Each acupuncture point takes about 10-15 minutes, until the skin becomes red.

3. When you are sick, rub your palms together until they become warm. Massage the lower abdomen below the navel clockwise for about 200 times. Or massage Zusanli and Sanyinjiao points for 1 minute.

4. Hot compress. Hot compress on the lower abdomen can help relieve uterine cramps, promote blood circulation in the abdomen, and relieve dysmenorrhea. If you use heated Chinese medicine for hot compress, the effect of promoting blood circulation, promoting qi and relieving pain will be better.
