There are two treatment methods for chocolate cysts: medication or surgery (conservative or radical). So far, there is no ideal radical treatment except radical surgery. Both medication and conservative surgery have a high recurrence rate. The choice should be based on the patient's age, symptoms, signs, lesion range, fertility requirements, and subjective wishes of the patient, emphasizing individualized treatment. It is advocated to choose the right medication for active treatment and combine it with close follow-up and reexamination, pay attention to the changes in the nature of ovarian cysts, and then take corresponding countermeasures. Expectant treatment is used for mild lesions with mild or no symptoms; mild patients with fertility requirements should be treated with medication first after a clear diagnosis, and those with severe conditions should undergo fertility preservation surgery; young but severe patients without fertility requirements can undergo ovarian function preservation surgery and supplemented with medication; patients with severe symptoms and lesions without fertility requirements can undergo radical surgery. First of all, medication treatment is also conservative treatment, usually with sex hormones. As mentioned earlier, it follows the cycle of menstruation, so the principle is to keep "old friends" away from you, and by inhibiting estrogen synthesis, the ectopic endometrium will atrophy. If the symptoms are not serious, this method can still be tried. There are two surgical methods: laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is the best treatment for this disease. At present, it is believed that laparoscopic diagnosis, surgery + drugs are the gold standard for the treatment of endometriosis. In hospitals with conditions, laparoscopic surgery should be the first choice for the treatment of endometriosis. However, the selection and effect of laparoscopic surgery depend to a large extent on the equipment, instruments and the experience and skills of the surgeon. Laparotomy can be used for surgeries that are not available for laparoscopy or are very complicated, such as severe adhesions and those with a history of multiple surgeries. Surgical treatment of chocolate cysts is currently an effective method, and the treatment plan is adopted according to the specific conditions such as the condition. For women of childbearing age, once chocolate cysts are found, minimally invasive surgery is the first choice, because this can not only eliminate the lesions and increase the chance of conception, but also reduce the rate of malignant transformation. For postmenopausal patients, radical surgery should be chosen. Chocolate cysts cannot be ignored after they are discovered, and they should be treated early and seek medical treatment in time. |
