What will happen if you have an ectopic pregnancy for 5 months?

Ectopic pregnancy is clinically called ectopic pregnancy. Generally, ectopic pregnancy will not last for as long as 5 months. Most ectopic pregnancy lesions will rupture within 2 months. In a few cases, they have not ruptured by 5 months, such as tubal interstitial pregnancy or abdominal pregnancy. These situations are very dangerous and may cause massive blood loss and endanger life.

The blood circulation in the interstitial part of the fallopian tube and the abdominal cavity is rich. If an ectopic pregnancy occurs in these parts, it may last for 5 months or even longer. As the fetus develops, symptoms such as abdominal distension and self-perception of fetal movement will appear, but the fetus presses on the surrounding tissues, which is prone to abdominal pain and a feeling of falling.

Ectopic pregnancy generally does not develop to full term. The older the month, the larger the volume of the placenta and the richer the blood circulation. Once it ruptures, the risk is higher. If it ruptures after 5 months, there will usually be severe bleeding in a short period of time. If emergency measures are not taken in time, hemorrhagic shock may occur, which is life-threatening.

Once an ectopic pregnancy is confirmed, you should go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital as soon as possible and receive conservative or surgical treatment under the doctor's guidance to avoid endangering your life.
