Endometrial tuberculosis can lead to infertility if left untreated

When it comes to endometrial tuberculosis, many people are familiar with it. Although this disease is a common disease, many people do not understand the harmfulness of the disease and do not know that the disease can cause infertility. It is not terrible to have the disease. There are many ways to treat the disease. Active treatment is the key to curing the disease.

Tuberculosis of the uterine body is mainly endometrial tuberculosis. When bacteria invade the myometrium, it is called myometrial tuberculosis. Endometrial tuberculosis and myometrial tuberculosis usually exist at the same time. The main symptoms of the acute phase are fever, accompanied by persistent lower abdominal pain, backache, increased leucorrhea, purulent or watery, and smelly. If the treatment is not timely or thorough, acute endometrial tuberculosis can turn into chronic endometrial tuberculosis. Chronic endometrial tuberculosis is mainly manifested by irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation, lower abdominal pain or mild pain. Leucorrhea is mostly purulent with a foul odor and low fever. The occurrence of endometrial tuberculosis is related to menstrual hygiene or sexual life disorders, unclean sexual intercourse, intrauterine surgery such as birth control (abortion ring), diagnostic curettage, and fluid intubation. Some are caused by postpartum infection, and can also be caused by endometrial polyps and submucosal myomas that make menstruation dripping and unclean, and secondary infection.

The uterus is not a closed organ. It communicates with the outside world through the vagina, and the vagina normally harbors a large number of pathogens. Because there are endometrial sores during intrauterine operations or menstruation, and blood is a good nutrient for bacteria, if you do not pay attention to aseptic operations or menstrual and sexual hygiene, it is easy for pathogens from the outside world or the vagina to ascend and cause uterine tuberculosis.

The tuberculous exudate of endometrial tuberculosis can kill sperm. In addition, long-term chronic tuberculosis of the endometrium can cause endometrial stromal fibrosis and glandular atrophy, which makes the endometrium insensitive to sex hormones and unable to prepare a good internal environment for the implantation of fertilized eggs, thus affecting the implantation of fertilized eggs. Endometrial tuberculosis can extend to the fallopian tubes, causing blockage or obstruction of the fallopian tubes, affecting fertilization.

Prevention is the key to uterine tuberculosis. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, avoid unclean sexual intercourse, and prevent the occurrence of sexually transmitted diseases: medical staff must strictly implement aseptic operation, which is the key. If the disease occurs, timely and thorough drug treatment should be used to avoid the development of chronic endometrial tuberculosis and the impact on conception and fertility.

There are many methods to treat endometrial tuberculosis at present, but to ensure the treatment effect of the disease, patients should also pay attention to the details of their lives. While treating the disease, patients should also build confidence in curing the disease and maintain an optimistic and positive attitude towards treatment in order to control the disease.
