There are three factors that lead to miscarriage. How to avoid miscarriage in early pregnancy

After pregnancy, some pregnant mothers will experience symptoms of miscarriage. So why do they have miscarriages? What are the causes of miscarriage? Let's take a look below.

Why does miscarriage happen?

Genetic factors

Numerical abnormalities include trisomy, triploidy and X monosomy. Structural abnormalities include chromosome deletion and translocation. Most embryos with chromosomal abnormalities end in miscarriage. A very small number may continue to develop into a fetus, but some functional abnormalities or annexation and deformation may occur after birth. If a miscarriage has occurred, the product of pregnancy is sometimes only an empty gestational sac or a degenerated embryo. In early spontaneous abortions, embryos with chromosomal abnormalities account for 50% to 60%, most of which are abnormalities in chromosome number, followed by abnormalities in chromosome structure.

Environmental factors

There are many adverse external factors that affect reproductive function, which can directly or indirectly cause damage to the embryo or fetus. Excessive exposure to certain harmful chemicals (such as arsenic, lead, benzene, formaldehyde, chloroprene, ethylene oxide, etc.) and physical factors (such as radiation, noise and high temperature, etc.) can cause miscarriage.

Maternal factors

(1) The pregnant mother suffers from chronic nephritis or hypertension. The placenta may be infarcted and cause miscarriage. Systemic diseases Acute illness during pregnancy and high fever can cause uterine contraction and miscarriage; bacterial toxins or viruses (herpes simplex virus, cytomegalovirus, etc.) enter the fetal blood circulation through the placenta, causing fetal death and miscarriage. In addition, pregnant mothers with severe anemia or heart failure can cause fetal hypoxia and may also cause miscarriage.

(2) Reproductive organ diseases Uterine malformations (such as didelphys, uterus septate, and uterine hypoplasia) and pelvic tumors (such as uterine fibroids) can affect the growth and development of the fetus and lead to miscarriage. Relaxation of the internal cervix or severe cervical lacerations can easily lead to late miscarriage due to premature rupture of membranes.

(3) Endocrine disorders such as hypothyroidism, uncontrolled severe diabetes, and luteal insufficiency can all lead to miscarriage.

(4) Traumatic abdominal surgery during pregnancy, especially in the early stages of pregnancy, or trauma during mid-pregnancy can cause uterine contractions and lead to miscarriage.

How to avoid miscarriage in early pregnancy

1. Get enough rest, avoid overwork, and do not do heavy physical labor, especially weight-bearing labor that increases abdominal pressure, such as carrying water, moving heavy objects, etc.

2. To prevent trauma, it is best to wear flat shoes when going out. Try not to travel during pregnancy. Avoid vibrating working environments. Avoid dangerous actions when doing housework, such as climbing.

3. Take a balanced diet, stay away from tobacco and alcohol, eat a light diet, do not eat spicy food, try to eat small meals frequently, and keep bowel movements smooth to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort.

4. Moderate sex life.

5. Keep a happy mood and stable emotions. Fresh milk can help expectant mothers prevent osteoporosis and help stabilize emotions. Oranges, celery and other high-fiber vegetables and fruits can not only reduce internal heat and supplement vitamins, but also make you feel happy.

6. Keep your body, especially the perineum, clean. Genital tract inflammation is also one of the causes of miscarriage. During pregnancy, vaginal secretions increase. Therefore, vulva cleaning is very important. Expectant mothers should insist on cleaning the vulva every night, and twice a day if necessary.
