Why can't women with cervical erosion be cured for a long time? Four reasons lead to cervical erosion that cannot be cured

Nowadays, it is not uncommon for women to suffer from cervical erosion, but many women feel that cervical erosion is difficult to cure. So what should women do if they suffer from cervical erosion for a long time?

Since the surface of the cervix is often covered with a lot of mucus or purulent secretions, these secretions stimulate and soak the squamous epithelium around the external cervical opening for a long time, and the inflammatory infiltration of the deep tissues of the cervix causes the squamous epithelium covering the surface of the cervix to lose vitality and fall off, forming an ulcer, which is true erosion. However, this erosion surface is quickly covered by the surrounding columnar epithelium, forming a granular, shiny red area, which is false erosion. The cervical erosions we find in our daily work are mostly false erosions, and true erosion is only a short stage in this pathological process, and its prognosis will be that the surface is covered by columnar epithelium and becomes false erosion.

1. Severe lesions. The larger the area of cervical erosion, the more likely the patient's condition will recur, and the higher the recurrence rate after treatment. Generally, mild to moderate cervical erosion has a high cure rate, and the condition can be well controlled; while women with severe cervical erosion have a low cure rate, but the recurrence rate increases accordingly. This shows the importance of early detection and treatment for a complete cure of the disease.

2. Incomplete treatment of cervical erosion. Nowadays, cervical erosion is mostly treated with physical treatments such as laser, electric perm or microwave. In order to avoid damaging other tissues, the force used in the operation is generally light, the treatment range is limited and relatively superficial, and the diseased tissue at the erosion site is not completely destroyed, resulting in residual diseased tissue, which can cause repeated attacks.

3. Frequent sexual intercourse. After a period of treatment, the symptoms of patients with cervical erosion improve. However, if they have sexual intercourse too frequently during this period, bacteria may enter the vagina, induce infection again, aggravate the damage to the cervical epithelium, and cause the recurrence of cervical erosion after treatment.

4. Older age. The long-term failure of cervical erosion to heal is also related to the patient's age. Generally, women under 30 years old have a lower recurrence rate after treatment of cervical erosion; women over 30 years old have a higher recurrence rate.

The reason why many women suffer from cervical erosion and cannot be cured for a long time is that they do not pay attention to their living habits. Many bad living habits can lead to cervical erosion.
