What to do if you have stomach pain after miscarriage?

Abdominal pain after miscarriage is a common phenomenon. It is mainly caused by the damage to the uterus and the need for the uterus to contract to its original state. You can consider using drugs to promote uterine contraction. If there is an abdominal infection, antibiotics are needed for treatment; if there is an incomplete abortion by artificial or medical abortion, a second uterine curettage operation is required.

There is a lot of fate between children and women. Some women may have a miscarriage due to the survival of the fittest, while others choose artificial abortion because they are not ready to have children. The damage caused by miscarriage to the uterus cannot be ignored, and abdominal pain may occur. So what should you do if you have abdominal pain after miscarriage?
1. Whether it is an artificial abortion or a natural abortion, it will cause great damage to the uterus, so abdominal pain is a common phenomenon. Some women have been pregnant for a long time, so the uterus needs to contract after the abortion and needs to return to the state before pregnancy, so there will be uterine contraction pain, which usually lasts for about 2 to 3 days. At this time, there is no need to use special analgesics. You can consider using some drugs that can promote uterine contraction to reduce the pain time.
2. If the pain lasts for a long time after abortion, first of all, you need to rule out whether there is infection after abortion. The most common infection after abortion is endometritis. Once infection occurs, you need to do relevant examinations, generally blood tests and C-reactive protein tests. Once the infection is confirmed, it needs to be treated in time. Patients with milder conditions can take antibiotics orally. If the infection is more serious, hospitalization and intravenous infusion of antibiotics and other anti-infective drugs are required for treatment.
3. If the abdominal pain after abortion is severe, the vaginal discharge continues to increase, and the vaginal discharge lasts for a long time, it may also be caused by incomplete abortion, which means that some embryonic tissue in the uterus has not been completely discharged, which can easily cause infection or inflammation. In this case, you need to go to the hospital for examination immediately. Once it is confirmed that the embryonic tissue has not been completely discharged, you need to perform a curettage operation immediately, and you also need to use appropriate drugs.
