What are the symptoms of hydatidiform mole?

Hydatidiform mole is a benign tumor. When it is discovered, a uterine curettage is performed promptly to prevent further deterioration and does not affect the patient's survival time. However, hydatidiform mole has a huge impact and can cause heavy bleeding, vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, and a tendency to cancer.

1. Heavy bleeding <br/>If hydatidiform mole is not discovered and treated in time, it may cause repeated bleeding, especially intrauterine bleeding. Some patients have anemia, which may induce hemorrhagic shock.
2. Vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain <br/>If there is persistent vaginal bleeding accompanied by abdominal pain, and if menstruation stops for more than one month, hydatidiform mole should be highly suspected. Hydatidiform mole can cause ascending infection and induce vaginal bleeding. When the uterus grows too fast and repeated bleeding causes infectious symptoms, abdominal pain can be induced.
3. Cancerous tendency : About 10% to 15% of patients may develop into malignant hydatidiform mole or choriocarcinoma. Lung metastasis and brain metastasis may occur in a short period of time, threatening the patient's life.
