Can hydatidiform mole be cured? There are three cases

Hydatidiform mole can be cured. After the diagnosis of hydatidiform mole is confirmed, uterine curettage should be performed as soon as possible, but the number of uterine curettages varies depending on the duration of pregnancy.

1. Pregnancy less than 12 weeks
Uterine curettage is more commonly performed by suction, the entire operation process is shorter, the amount of bleeding is reduced, and no other complications are induced. For pregnant women with a pregnancy less than 12 weeks, only one uterine curettage is needed to completely remove the fetus.
2. Pregnancy greater than 12 weeks
Pregnancy less than 12 weeks can be treated with curettage after diagnosis and again one week later to avoid residual tissue being missed. Especially after the first curettage, vaginal bleeding lasts for a long time, and ultrasound examination indicates that a second curettage is needed.
3. Pregnancy greater than 16 weeks
When pregnancy exceeds 12 weeks, the fetus has basically formed. If a hydatidiform mole is found after 16 weeks of pregnancy, it is easy to fail to clean the uterus thoroughly by vacuum extraction. Visual curettage under ultrasound guidance is required.
