What is abortion? There are 4 types

Abortion refers to the medical termination of pregnancy due to factors such as unexpected pregnancy, serious illness during pregnancy, fetal malformation, etc. The surgery is divided into early abortion and mid-term abortion according to the pregnancy period, including medical abortion, painless abortion, micro-tube visual painless abortion, induction of labor, curettage, etc. Curettage is the most invasive and harmful surgery among abortion surgeries.

With the liberalization of sexual concepts, more and more young couples are having sex before marriage. If contraceptive measures are not taken, it is easy to get pregnant unexpectedly. For women who do not have a pregnancy plan but get pregnant unexpectedly, they usually choose to have an abortion to terminate the pregnancy. Abortion can be divided into early abortion and mid-term induced abortion. What is the specific abortion operation?
1. What is artificial abortion ? Artificial abortion is the artificial termination of pregnancy, which refers to the situation where the pregnancy is terminated medically due to factors such as the pregnant woman suffering from a serious disease, an unexpected pregnancy, or the embryo has serious congenital defects. According to the different pregnancy periods, artificial abortion can also be divided into early artificial abortion and mid-term artificial abortion. For artificial or medical abortion within three months of pregnancy, it is called early abortion. For more than three months, it is called mid-term abortion, which specifically includes vacuum aspiration and forceps curettage.
2. What are the types of abortion surgery?
1. Medical abortion
If the pregnancy period does not exceed 49 weeks, you can choose to terminate the pregnancy by medical abortion. You need to take mifepristone tablets and misoprostol under the guidance of a doctor. Although medical abortion can avoid the pain and complications caused by abortion surgery, many people will experience prolonged vaginal bleeding and incomplete abortion after medical abortion, which requires a second uterine curettage, which will cause greater damage to the uterus.
2. Painless abortion
Currently, the most common abortion surgery in clinical practice is painless abortion, which is a safe and effective abortion surgery through intravenous injection of general anesthetics. After intravenous administration, the operator will fall asleep within 30 seconds, and then the abortion surgery will be completed within three minutes without any consciousness. After the operation, the woman will regain consciousness within two or three minutes, and can leave the hospital and go home to rest if there is no abnormality after 30 minutes of observation.
3. Micro-tube visual painless abortion
In order to relieve women's pain and avoid damage to the cervix and endometrial tissue, micro-tube visual painless abortion can be selected. This operation mainly uses a uterine cavity tissue suction tube with an outer diameter of three to five centimeters, combined with superconducting visual techniques, under intravenous anesthesia, using abdominal pressure to allow the micro-tube to attract the embryonic tissue at a fixed point. This operation is highly safe, with less bleeding, fast operation time and short recovery time.
4. Induction of labor
Generally, after three months of pregnancy, the embryonic tissue is relatively large, and induction of labor can only be performed. The specific method is to cut the uterus by laparotomy, or to cut the cervix through the vagina and then remove the fetus. No matter which method is used, the operation requires surgery, which is also very harmful to women.
