Pelvic effusion and cervical cyst

Pelvic effusion and cervical cyst

Cervical gland cyst is a type of chronic cervicitis, and pelvic effusion is the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity. Although the two occur in different locations, there are many similarities in the mechanisms of disease development and treatment methods. At the same time, both are gynecological diseases with relatively serious harms, and need to attract the attention of the majority of female friends.

Pelvic effusion is an inflammatory exudate in the pelvis. It may occur after endometritis. Due to the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue, the slightly viscous fluid exudates and is wrapped by the surrounding tissues, gradually forming a cystic mass. If it is not treated, it can slowly grow. It needs to be removed surgically. Pelvic effusion can be completely cured, but it must be effectively treated on the basis of identifying the pathogenic bacteria.

Pathological pelvic effusion is mostly pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. The cause is often related to the patient's bad hygiene habits, such as having sex during menstruation or within one month after childbirth, taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery, etc. Medically induced infection can also cause pelvic effusion. It is best to perform a posterior fornix puncture to identify the nature of the fluid. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be due to inflammation of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. Pelvic inflammatory disease must be treated early, otherwise it will affect fertility.

Cervical glandular cysts are caused by the new squamous epithelium covering the opening of the cervical glandular duct during the healing process of cervical erosion, or by the hyperplasia of the surrounding connective tissue squeezing the cervical glandular duct, resulting in retention of glandular secretions and the formation of single or multiple small white cysts on the surface of the cervix.
