3. Infection caused by intrauterine surgery

During artificial abortion, placement or removal of intrauterine contraceptive ring, hydrotubation, hysterosalpingography, hysteroscopy and other operations, pelvic inflammation may occur due to infection caused by failure to follow aseptic operation or rough movements of the physician; the patient has chronic genital inflammation before the operation, which is caused by acute attack and spread due to surgical interference; or the patient does not pay attention to hygiene after the operation and does not follow the doctor's advice for nursing care, resulting in bacterial ascending infection and pelvic inflammatory disease.

4. Direct spread of inflammation to adjacent organs

When appendicitis or peritonitis occurs, the inflammation can spread directly to the pelvic cavity, causing pelvic inflammatory disease; when cervicitis occurs, pathogenic bacteria can cause pelvic inflammatory disease through the lymphatic circulation.
