What is an ectopic pregnancy? Abnormal pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy caused by the fertilized egg implanting and developing outside the uterine cavity. It is divided into different types according to the different implantation sites of the fertilized egg, among which the most common is tubal pregnancy. When a female friend has fallopian tube inflammation, an intrauterine device, and bad living habits such as multiple abortions, smoking and drinking, the fertilized egg will wander and lead to ectopic pregnancy.

Ectopic pregnancy will cause abdominal pain and a small amount of vaginal bleeding before miscarriage or rupture of the fertilized egg. After rupture, the patient's abdomen will have a sharp pain, which makes the patient unbearable. The patient must go to the hospital in time and seek help from a doctor to prevent serious consequences such as heavy bleeding. Let's take a look at what ectopic pregnancy is.
1. Inflammation of the fallopian tubes
Inflammation of the fallopian tubes can cause ectopic pregnancy in female friends. There are two types of fallopian tube inflammation: tubal mucositis and perisalpingitis. Severe tubal mucositis can cause complete blockage of the lumen, making it impossible for the fertilized egg to pass through, causing ectopic pregnancy. Perisalpingitis can cause adhesions and twisting around the fallopian tubes of female friends, causing the fallopian tubes to narrow and the peristalsis of the tube wall muscles to weaken, affecting the normal operation of the fertilized egg and causing ectopic pregnancy. Female friends who have had tubal pregnancy are also likely to have recurrences.

2. IUD
Many women who have given birth will use IUDs to prevent unwanted pregnancies. However, IUDs can cause gynecological inflammation in women, which can lead to ectopic pregnancies. Moreover, if the position of the IUD deviates from the body, resulting in contraceptive failure, it can also cause ectopic pregnancies in women.

3. Bad living habits
Some women who do not want children but do not take contraceptive measures will have multiple abortions. Multiple abortions will cause certain trauma to the endometrium of women, which will prevent the fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus and will move to other places, causing ectopic pregnancy. In addition, long-term smoking, alcoholism, and taking ovulation-promoting drugs can all cause ectopic pregnancy.
4. Migration of fertilized eggs
The female friend's egg will be fertilized in one fallopian tube to form a fertilized egg. The fertilized egg will pass through the female's uterine cavity or abdominal cavity into the fallopian tube on the other side. During this period of migration, if the time is too long, the fertilized egg will continue to grow and implant in the fallopian tube on the other side, causing an ectopic pregnancy.
