What should I do if a lump grows on the skin of my labia? Analyze the cause and treat it accordingly

If the lump on the female labia skin is caused by a Bartholin gland cyst, it can be removed through general care or fenestration surgery; if it is caused by vulvar folliculitis, ichthyol ointment can be applied externally, supplemented with oral amoxicillin for anti-infection treatment; if it is caused by a Bartholin gland cyst, it can be improved through sitz baths and oral anti-inflammatory drugs.

The female labia is one of the most fragile skins. If you do not pay attention to personal hygiene or are traumatized, it is easy to develop lesions. Some women find that a large lump grows on the skin of their labia. Although the symptoms are not mild, they still need to be treated with caution. So, what should you do if a lump grows on the skin of your labia?

1. Bartholin's gland cyst

It may be caused by Bartholin's gland cyst, which is a disease caused by local inflammation of the vagina that leads to blockage of the gland duct, and the mucus inside cannot flow out normally. If it takes too long, it will form a cyst. If the cyst is small, less than 1 cm, no deliberate treatment is required. Local cleaning and general care are sufficient. If the cyst is large, it needs to be removed by window surgery in time.

2. Vulvar folliculitis

If the lumps on the labia skin are accompanied by itching and pain, it may be caused by vulvar folliculitis. If not treated in time, the labia will grow large lumps. For the lumps on the labia skin caused by vulvar folliculitis, ichthyol ointment can be applied externally, and amoxicillin can be taken orally for anti-infection treatment.

3. Bartholin gland cyst

Bartholin gland cysts can also cause this symptom. You can use potassium permanganate solution for sitz baths and take oral cephalosporin anti-inflammatory drugs to gradually resolve the cysts.
