Precautions before and after artificial abortion

Precautions before and after artificial abortion

Spring is the beginning of all things, giving people new hope. But at the same time, diseases hidden in the cold winter will also break out at this time, bringing pain to people.

Precautions for artificial abortion are knowledge that must be mastered before and after the operation. This is of great help to the safety of the abortion process and the recovery of the body after the operation.

Things to note before artificial abortion:

Stop having sex to avoid increasing the risk of vaginitis.

Take a shower the morning you go to the hospital, focusing on cleaning your vulva but being careful not to get water into your vagina.

Wear underwear and pants that are easy to put on and take off. It is best to have someone accompany you.

Before going out, bring a few sanitary pads and some clean facial tissues. During the examination, the doctor will use disinfectant to disinfect the vulva. If you don't have these preparations, it will be embarrassing to be wet after the examination.

Go to bed early the night before and get enough sleep.

Do not eat breakfast or drink water on the morning of the surgery. You may have gastrointestinal reactions after anesthesia. If there is food in the stomach, it will be vomited out and enter the trachea, causing suffocation.

Things to note after an abortion:

What precautions should be taken after artificial abortion? After artificial abortion, you should eat nutritious and easily digestible food, avoid using cold water, pay attention to personal hygiene, change and wash underwear frequently, and those who have not cleaned the blood are absolutely prohibited from lavaging the vagina and sitting bathing to avoid infection. Sexual intercourse is prohibited within one month after the operation. After abortion, the cervix is in an open state, and the effect of preventing bacteria from entering the uterine cavity is weakened. At the same time, since the blood sinus is open after the embryonic tissue falls off, it is easy to cause infection. Contraceptive measures should be taken to prevent another accidental pregnancy.

After surgery, you will have normal menstruation about 40 days after the surgery. When normal menstruation resumes, you should come to the hospital for a follow-up check to ensure that your uterus has recovered as before. Bleeding generally does not last more than two weeks. The amount of bleeding should not be more than the normal menstrual flow. If the vaginal bleeding is too much or lasts too long, you should come to the hospital for a follow-up check in time.
