What is the cause of vaginitis? Vaginitis is related to these factors

What are the causes of vaginitis ? Vaginitis is a common disease among women, so what are the causes of vaginitis ? In fact, the causes of vaginitis are quite complicated. Please see the following for details.

The cause depends on the type of vaginitis you have:

Bacterial vaginosis. The most common cause of vaginitis is a change in the normal bacteria in the vagina, as well as an overgrowth of several other organisms. Normally, bacteria common in the vagina (Lactobacilli) outnumber other bacteria in the vagina (anaerobic bacteria). If the anaerobic bacteria become too abundant, this balance is upset, leading to bacterial vaginosis.

This type of vaginitis seems to be related to sexual intercourse, especially if you have multiple sexual partners or new sexual partners, but it also occurs in inactive women.

Yeast infection. This occurs when there is an overgrowth of a fungal organism — usually Candida albicans — in your vagina. Candida albicans can also cause infections in other moist areas of the body, such as the mouth (thrush), skin folds, and nail beds. Fungi can also cause diaper rash.

Trichomoniasis. This common sexually transmitted infection is caused by a tiny single-cell parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. This organism is spread during sexual intercourse with an infected person.

In men, the organism usually infects the urinary system but usually causes no symptoms. In women, trichomoniasis usually infects the vagina and can cause symptoms. It also increases a woman's risk of contracting other sexually transmitted infections.

Noninfectious vaginitis. Vaginal sprays, douches, soaps, scented detergents, and spermicides may cause allergic reactions or irritate vulvar and vaginal tissues. Foreign objects in the vagina, such as tissues or forgotten tampons, can also irritate vaginal tissues.

Genitourinary syndrome of menopause (vaginal atrophy). Decreased estrogen levels after menopause or surgical removal of the ovaries can cause the vaginal lining to thin, sometimes leading to vaginal irritation, burning, and dryness.
