What causes pelvic effusion? Know these and say goodbye to pelvic effusion

Speaking of pelvic effusion , I think all women will feel a headache. This is a very stubborn gynecological disease. Pelvic effusion can be physiological or pathological. Physiological pelvic effusion refers to the daily exudation of fluid from the female pelvis, especially during menstruation or ovulation. This is a normal phenomenon and a good thing. It shows that the fallopian tubes are not blocked. Pathological pelvic effusion is caused by inflammation in the pelvis. If this situation is not treated in time, it will cause many complications. So strictly speaking, only pathological pelvic effusion needs treatment. Let's take a look at how pelvic effusion is caused.

What causes pelvic effusion?

1. Women do not pay attention to hygiene during menstruation. When women have their period, the entire endometrium will be shed. At this time, the blood sinuses in the uterine cavity will open and there will be small blood clots, which are easy for bacteria to breed. If you do not pay attention to hygiene or have sex with the opposite sex during this period, it will cause pelvic fluid accumulation.

2. Inflammation of other organs near the pelvic cavity spreads. When other organs near the pelvic cavity are inflamed, fluid will seep out and enter the pelvic cavity, forming effusion, such as peritonitis, appendicitis, etc.

3. Gynecological postoperative infection. If the patient has undergone abortion surgery, fallopian tube surgery, IUD removal and placement surgery, etc., once the postoperative infection occurs, fluid will ooze into the pelvic cavity, which is very likely to cause other complications. Seek medical attention in time.

4. Pelvic inflammatory disease. Some female patients suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease. If the treatment is not timely, the condition will worsen, followed by abscesses, and then fluid will seep out and form effusion. Therefore, women must go to the hospital for treatment in time after suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease.

5. Hydrosalpinx. This is one of the main causes of pelvic inflammatory disease. When the accumulation of fluid reaches a certain level, it will cause infection in the pelvic cavity. Therefore, if a woman has a fallopian tube disease, she should seek medical attention in time.

6. Postpartum or post-abortion infection. After giving birth or abortion, the cervix of a woman is in an open state. At this time, the woman's resistance is extremely poor, and bacteria can easily enter the vagina and cause infection.
