What is perimenopausal syndrome

Perimenopausal syndrome is commonly known as menopausal syndrome. It refers to a series of symptoms caused by changes in hormone levels before and after menopause. It is divided into natural menopause and artificial menopause.

Natural menopause is menopause that follows the laws of nature. The normal function of the ovaries is limited. When all the follicles in the ovaries are released, or when they are not released but the function is reduced, the ovaries can no longer ovulate normally. At this time, there is no female hormone secretion in the body, or the hormone secretion is reduced, which cannot stimulate the proliferation of the endometrium to produce menstruation. At this time, women enter menopause.

Artificial menopause refers to menopause caused by the cessation of ovarian function due to the effects of drugs, radiotherapy or surgical removal of the ovaries.

When menopause just begins, the first symptom is menstrual disorder. Menstruation completely loses its previous regularity, and may come once every few months or twice a month. The menstrual flow is sometimes heavy and sometimes light. In addition to menstrual disorder, it may also be accompanied by insomnia, dizziness, hot flashes, irritability, or depression. When the hormone level in the body drops completely, menstruation will no longer come. At this time, women are prone to urinary tract infections, osteoporosis and other symptoms. These symptoms are collectively referred to as: perimenopausal syndrome.

During the perimenopausal period, pay attention to a light diet, eat more protein- and calcium-rich foods, eat more vegetables and fruits, pay attention to supplementing trace elements and multiple vitamins, exercise appropriately, and keep a good mood.

Women should treat perimenopause with a normal mind.
