Is threatened miscarriage a serious problem?

Women are very weak during pregnancy. Threatened abortion will cause bleeding. If not treated in time, it may cause anemia in pregnant women. It is dangerous for pregnant women. It is recommended to go to the hospital to find out the cause, follow the doctor's advice to preserve the fetus, and rest in bed. Is the problem of threatened abortion serious?

Threatened abortion is divided into two types: inevitable abortion and continued pregnancy. If the bleeding is small and the abdominal pain is mild, the pregnancy can generally be continued after tocolysis treatment. As long as the fetus can be saved and born as a normal child, don't think too much. If the bleeding continues or worsens, the fetus will be in danger. If the amount of vaginal bleeding is more than the amount of menstruation, or other diagnoses show that the fetus has died or abortion is inevitable, the pregnancy should be terminated as soon as possible to prevent bleeding and infection.

Threatened abortion refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding before 28 weeks of pregnancy, followed by paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or back pain. Pelvic examination shows that the cervix is not dilated, the fetal membranes are intact, no pregnancy products are discharged, and the size of the uterus is consistent with the gestational age. If the symptoms worsen, it may develop into inevitable abortion. In addition to bed rest and strict prohibition of sexual intercourse, the treatment of threatened abortion should also create an environment that is conducive to stabilizing the mood and relieving tension for the patient, and provide more spiritual support. If the pregnant woman has low progesterone levels, progesterone support therapy can be used.

The main reason is the imperfect reproductive cells of the father or mother. Although the imperfect reproductive cells can barely combine to form an embryo, they will eventually die early and cannot "ripen off the vine". Abortion caused by full-term delivery can actually be said to be a good thing. Because an abnormal fetus, if it is really born at full term, will also have deformities or abnormalities. Other reasons such as insufficient oxygen supply to the umbilical cord, amniotic fluid disease, placental virus infection and certain gynecological inflammations can also cause miscarriage. Malnutrition of pregnant women is also one of the causes of miscarriage. Some pregnant women have severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy in the early stages, resulting in extreme nutritional deficiencies, which have a great impact on the development of the embryo.

After a woman becomes pregnant, if she is emotionally unstable, angry, sad, or other mental stimulation, it will disrupt the activity of the cerebral cortex, causing the uterus to contract and force the embryo out, or causing the embryo to die in the uterus. Acute infectious diseases such as influenza and rubella can cause miscarriage due to high fever and toxins released by bacteria and viruses. Endocrine disorders, such as corpus luteum, pituitary gland, and thyroid gland dysfunction, as well as excessive uterine retroflexion in uterine hypoplasia, can cause the uterine cavity to hinder the development of the embryo.

Sexual life during the entire pregnancy period should be cautious. Inappropriate sexual life, especially in the early stages of pregnancy, can easily cause miscarriage. In the second trimester, sexual life should also be moderate, avoiding sexual intercourse positions that compress the pregnant woman's abdomen and rough sexual intercourse to avoid miscarriage. During the perinatal period, if the gynecological examination is done roughly, it is also one of the causes of miscarriage. This is especially important for pregnant women with weak constitutions. Drugs and certain chemical substances, such as quinine, carbon monoxide, aluminum, phosphorus, mercury, and benzene poisoning, often make it difficult to protect the embryo. Abortion is divided into threatened, early or late, complete or incomplete, etc. according to the number of days of pregnancy and the situation at the time. Among them, threatened abortion is the most common, accounting for about 50% of all pregnancies. However, only 10-15% of them actually miscarry, so some can be preserved, while others are not. Some have tried every means to preserve the fetus. In the end, they still miscarry. On the surface, miscarriage seems to be a very regrettable thing, but from the point of view of genetics, miscarriage is not a bad thing. Because the rate of chromosomal abnormalities in aborted fetuses is quite high.
