What are the common tests for vaginitis?

Examination is an important means of diagnosing diseases. No matter what kind of disease you have, we need to conduct scientific and professional examinations. Only after the type of disease is confirmed can a reasonable treatment plan be formulated. Vaginitis is a common gynecological disease. There are many clinical types. It is necessary to conduct an examination to clarify the cause before the right medicine can be prescribed. So, what kind of examinations are generally done for vaginitis?

1. Routine examination of leucorrhea: Leucorrhea is a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudate, cervical canal and endometrial gland secretions, and its formation is related to the action of estrogen. Routine examination of leucorrhea includes pH value examination, vaginal cleanliness examination, fungus and trichomonas examination, amine test examination, and clue cell examination.

2. Internal examination: For women who have sexual experience, doctors will use internal examination to touch the cervix and use the other hand to press the abdomen to check whether the uterus is enlarged or whether the fallopian tubes and ovaries are enlarged or have tumors. This step is more suitable for people who have sexual experience. Doctors generally do not do this for those who have no sexual experience because they are worried about damaging the hymen.

3. Bacterial culture test (BV test): Take vaginal secretions for smear test, the result will be available in 20 minutes, and the pathogenic bacteria of bacterial vaginitis can be detected. If there is no fungus or trichomonas, and the cleanliness is above 3 degrees, it needs to be tested.

4. Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Detection: Cervical mucus testing can confirm non-gonococcal vaginitis caused by mycoplasma and Chlamydia infection. If you have sex, especially those who have pain during intercourse, abdominal distension, have more than two sexual partners, those who have not improved with continuous medication or have recurrent episodes, and those with cervical erosion, you need to be checked.

5. Drug sensitivity test: If you are diagnosed with non-gonococcal vaginitis, this test is very important to choose the antibiotic that is suitable for you. Drug sensitivity test: S-sensitive, M-intermediate-sensitive, R-resistant.

Vaginitis has a very high incidence rate, and the impact and harm it causes to patients is great. Women suffering from vaginitis must receive timely treatment. Of course, in order to ensure the diagnosis and treatment of the disease, it is still necessary to conduct professional examinations of vaginitis to clarify the condition, so that vaginitis can be cured faster.
