Does endometrial tuberculosis require oral medication?

Clinically, the incidence of endometrial tuberculosis is increasing year by year, the number of patients is increasing, and it has caused the tragedy of infertility for many female friends. Therefore, it is very important to actively treat the disease. At present, there are many methods for drug treatment of endometrial tuberculosis. The following content is about the four major drug methods for treating the disease.

Method 1: Androgen

Generally, small doses can relieve dysmenorrhea, but they do not inhibit ovulation. After conception, it should be discontinued immediately to avoid masculinization of the female fetus.

Method 2: Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists

Also called "medical ovarian removal", the administration method is nasal spray and subcutaneous injection. The side effect is menopausal symptoms caused by low estrogen. Dysmenorrhea is significantly improved after taking the medicine, but the pregnancy rate is not significantly improved.

Method 3: False pregnancy therapy

The principle of "pseudo-pregnancy therapy" is to give patients progesterone drugs to simulate the hormone conditions during pregnancy, so that the endometrium and tuberculous endometrium undergo a decidual reaction similar to pregnancy, followed by atrophy, shedding and absorption. 18-methylnorethindrone and ethinyl estradiol are commonly used. The symptom relief rate after taking the medicine is 80%, and the pregnancy rate is 20%-40%, but there are side effects such as nausea and vomiting.

Method 4: Pseudomenopause therapy

"Pseudomenopause therapy" is to stop ovulation of the ovaries by using anti-estrogen drugs, so that the hormone level drops to a level similar to that after menopause, and the endometrium shrinks and absorbs. Commonly used drugs include danazol, which has a mild androgenic effect. Side effects include weight gain, hirsutism, voice changes, etc., but the incidence is low. People with liver damage should not take it. Usage is 400 mg, starting from the first day of menstruation, and used for 6 consecutive months.

I hope this article can be helpful and a reference for patients and friends. Experts say that endometrial tuberculosis is very harmful to patients, and there are many causes of the disease. After patients discover the symptoms of the disease, they should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time to recover their health as soon as possible.
