How to treat cervical warts to prevent recurrence

Cervical warts are a common sexually transmitted disease. Many patients suffer from this disease due to disordered sex life. Due to face-saving, many patients are embarrassed to go to the hospital for treatment, thus delaying the best treatment time. Cervical warts are very harmful, so they should be treated as soon as possible. So how to treat cervical warts to prevent recurrence?

Microwave therapy

Using a microwave surgical treatment machine and lidocaine local anesthesia, the tip of the rod-shaped radiation probe is inserted into the sharp wet to reach the base of the wart. When the wart becomes smaller, darker, and turns from soft to hard, the thermal radiation coagulation is complete and the probe can be withdrawn. The coagulated lesion can be removed with tweezers. To prevent recurrence, the remaining base can be coagulated again.

Beta-ray therapy

We have achieved relatively satisfactory results in the treatment of cervical warts using β-rays. This method is highly effective, painless, non-destructive, has few side effects, and a low recurrence rate, and is worth promoting in clinical practice.

Drug therapy

(1) Podophyllum resin: This treatment is suitable for warts in moist areas, such as warts on the glans penis and perineum caused by excessive foreskin but without circumcision. However, podophyllum resin cannot be used to treat cervical warts. It is highly toxic, and the main symptoms are nausea, intestinal obstruction, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia, tachycardia, urinary retention or oliguria. Therefore, it must be used with caution. If the above reactions are found, the drug should be discontinued immediately.

(2) Antiviral drugs: 5-phthalamide cream or 0.25% herpes net ointment can be used, applied externally twice a day. Acyclovir can be taken orally, 5 times a day, 200 mg each time, or its ointment can be used externally. α-interferon can be injected 3 million units daily, five days a week. Or 3 million units of interferon can be injected into the base of the wart, twice a week. Use it for 2-3 weeks. The main side effect is flu-like syndrome. The side effects of local medication are less and mild.

Immunotherapy

Autologous vaccine method: Use the patient's own wart tissue homogenate (thaw-cold inactivate the virus), heat it (56°C for one hour), collect the supernatant and inject it. It can be used for stubborn perianal warts.
