What medicine should I take to treat cervical warts?

In daily life, cervical warts are a common disease. The disease is highly contagious and harmful, which brings great harm to the patient's health and life, and also affects the partner and family around them. Therefore, patients with cervical warts are best to seize the time for treatment. So what medicine can be taken for cervical warts?

(I) Antiviral drugs: Mainly used for sexually transmitted diseases caused by viruses such as herpes simplex virus, cytomegalovirus, contagious molluscum virus, hepatitis B virus, and HIV.

(ii) Iodine amine drugs: mainly used to treat gonorrhea, syphilis, non-gonococcal urethritis, chancroid, venereally transmitted lymphogranuloma, inguinal granuloma, etc. Sulfonamides are often used in combination with antibiotics. For example, when using procaine penicillin C to treat syphilis, probenecid can be taken orally at the same time, which will have a better effect.

(III) Treatment with Chinese medicine:

(1) Damp-heat descending syndrome: Symptoms include the appearance of wart-like growths on the external genitalia or anus, which are gray, brown or light red in color, with a dirty and moist surface that bleeds easily; often accompanied by bitter taste in the mouth, sticky mouth, thirst and dislike of drinking water, sticky and unsmooth stools, and yellow urine. The tongue is red with a yellow and greasy coating, and the pulse is stringy and rapid. This is due to the descending of damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, which flows through the meridians into the genitals. Treatment should be to clear away damp-heat, detoxify and eliminate warts. The prescription is to use the modified Bishen Huadu Decoction: 10 grams of Bishen, 10 grams of Atractylodes, 10 grams of Phellodendron, 30 grams of Raw Coix Seed, 30 grams of Smilax, 10 grams of Cortex Moutan, 10 grams of Tongcao, 10 grams of Alisma, and 30 grams of Portulaca. If the damp-heat is severe, 10 grams of Gentiana can be added; if the stool is blocked, 10 grams of Aloe can be added.

(2) Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome: seen in patients with dark red or dark brown skin lesions that grow slowly, do not disappear over time, or have recurrent attacks. The tongue is dull, the coating is thin and white, and the pulse is thready and astringent. This is because the toxins have accumulated for a long time, the disease has been long-term and the vital energy has been damaged, and the qi is weak and unable to move, resulting in qi and blood stasis. Treatment should be aimed at replenishing qi and activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis and dispersing nodules. The commonly used prescription is Taohong Siwu Decoction with modifications: 30 grams of raw astragalus, 10 grams of peach kernel, 10 grams of safflower, 10 grams of Chuanxiong, and 30 grams of angelica sinensis. For those with hard warts, 30 grams of raw dragon bone and oyster shell can be added to soften and disperse nodules.

Traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of cervical condylomata is mostly heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs. Although it can relieve symptoms to a certain extent, it cannot clear the virus lurking in the body, and the effect is slow. The medication time is too long, making patients suffer from the pain of long-term medication. And it is easy to relapse after treatment.

I hope this article will be helpful to everyone’s understanding of what medicines can be taken for cervical warts. I believe everyone has already known what medicines can be taken for cervical warts. The disease has a great impact on patients. Therefore, if male friends have symptoms of the disease in their daily lives, they need to go to a regular hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the disease and causing it to worsen.
