Can pregnant women with cervical warts give birth naturally?

We can find that in recent years, the number of people suffering from cervical warts is increasing year by year. Among them, pregnant women are also a part of this group. As we all know, cervical warts are a terrible disease. Patients with cervical warts are often miserable. This distress is even more for pregnant women. Not only do they have to endure the double torture from physical and psychological aspects, but they also have to worry about whether they can give birth naturally if they suffer from cervical warts. Below we will explain this issue in detail.

Pregnant women and non-pregnant women have different symptoms when they are infected with cervical warts. They should be treated correctly and distinguished. Pregnant women should receive timely and correct treatment when they are infected with cervical warts. There are three differences between pregnant women who suffer from cervical warts and non-pregnant women: first, the course of the disease is short and the lesions develop rapidly. Most patients can clearly feel the expansion of the lesions and the appearance of new lesions; second, the lesions are more common in the vulva, followed by the cervix, and there are many damaged parts. Generally, there are more than two parts infected with the disease, which is 10-15% higher than the probability of non-pregnant women suffering from more than two parts of the disease; third, there are more typical lesions. The morphology of cervical warts is mostly cauliflower-shaped and cockscomb-shaped, and they often merge into pieces.

The subclinical manifestations of cervical warts in pregnant women are higher than those in non-pregnant women, which may be related to the fact that the internal environment during pregnancy is conducive to the reproduction of the virus. Studies have found that the influencing factors of subclinical manifestations of cervical warts during pregnancy include severe cervical erosion and candidal vaginitis. The spouse's sexual history and chaotic sexual relations are also high-risk factors for subclinical manifestations of cervical warts during pregnancy. When lesions occur in the vaginal or cervical epithelium, damage to the epithelium and mucosa, decreased local resistance and the effect of estrogen contribute to the replication and latent HPV genes, providing favorable conditions for subclinical manifestations of cervical warts.

Pregnant women with cervical condylomata will have a rapid increase in the number of warts due to changes in hormone metabolism, immune function, vaginal environment and increased leucorrhea. They may even grow exponentially within a week. Pregnant women with cervical condylomata will not only cause pain and discomfort to the patient, but also have serious adverse consequences for future childbirth and newborns. Imagine if the cervix, vulva or vagina are covered with huge cervical condylomata, how can the fetus pass through such a birth canal full of obstacles and thorns during childbirth? When the fetus passes through the birth canal containing a large amount of human papillomavirus, how can the secretions with the virus not contaminate the skin and mucous membranes on the fetus's body? Therefore, anal and vulvar cervical condylomata and laryngeal papillomata in newborns and children are caused by the childbirth process or close contact with the mother.

The harm of cervical warts is very serious. Friends who suffer from genital warts must go to the hospital for testing and treatment in a timely and regular manner. Do not delay to avoid harm to you.
