Why does endometrial thickening disease recur?

Why does endometrial thickening disease recur? This is what everyone should grasp. Only by grasping the cause of endometrial thickening can we help everyone make a correct diagnosis. So why does endometrial thickening disease recur? The following is a professional explanation given by experts.

Endometrial thickness is uneven or focally distributed, and is more common in the posterior wall. Because it is confined to a part of the uterus, it often causes the uterus to enlarge irregularly, resembling a uterine fibroid. The cross-section shows proliferating muscle tissue, which also presents a whirlpool-like structure like a fibroid, but does not have the capsule-like tissue that separates it from the surrounding normal muscle fibers as in a fibroid.

There is a softening area in the center of the lesion, and occasionally scattered small cavities containing a small amount of old blood can be seen. The endometrial glands seen under microscopy are the same as those of the endometrium, surrounded by endometrial stroma.

Thick endometrium changes with the menstrual cycle, but the changes are not obvious during the secretory phase, indicating that thick endometrial glands are less affected by progesterone. When conception occurs, the interstitial cells of the thick endometrium may show obvious decidualization, as mentioned above.

The above is an analysis of the causes of endometrial thickness. Experts point out that there are many causes of endometrial thickness. Everyone must go to a regular hospital to treat this disease based on their own actual situation to ensure everyone's safety and health.
