What medicine is effective for cervicitis and endometritis

Cervicitis and endometritis require appropriate drug treatment based on the specific pathogens of the infection and the severity of the condition. Commonly used drugs include antibiotics, antifungal drugs, and hormone drugs, but they must be used under the guidance of a doctor. Unauthorized use of drugs may lead to worsening of the condition or the development of drug resistance.

Cervicitis is mainly caused by bacterial, viral or mycoplasma infection. Antibiotics such as metronidazole, amoxicillin or ciprofloxacin are usually used for bacterial infection. Fluconazole or clotrimazole can be used for fungal infection. Endometritis is often related to postpartum or post-abortion infection. Amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium or doxycycline can be used for mild cases. For severe cases, broad-spectrum antibiotics such as ceftriaxone sodium combined with metronidazole can be intravenously infused to inhibit the growth of anaerobic bacteria. For some patients, if the infection involves interference with hormone secretion, progesterone drugs must be used in a short period of time. During treatment, etiological examinations (such as secretion culture) may be required to accurately select drugs.

While taking the medicine, you should avoid sexual intercourse during treatment to reduce the risk of internal and external infection, pay attention to personal hygiene, use special underwear and change it every day. In terms of diet, you can increase the intake of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, such as oranges, kiwis and green leafy vegetables, to improve immune function. If symptoms continue to worsen, including obvious abdominal pain, fever or abnormal vaginal bleeding, you should seek medical attention immediately and follow professional guidance for treatment.
