Although Bartholinitis is not a particularly common gynecological disease, it still needs to be taken seriously by us, because the impact of Bartholinitis on women is still relatively large. The most obvious symptom felt by patients may be severe pain. In addition to this symptom, what other symptoms of Bartholinitis may appear? Let me tell you! Symptoms of Bartholinitis Redness, swelling, hard lumps, pain, burning sensation, and obvious tenderness are found in the posterior 1/3 of the labia majora. Urinary pain and difficulty walking may occur, and sometimes urination and defecation difficulties may occur. It is mostly unilateral but can occasionally be bilateral. After that, the skin on the surface of the mass becomes thinner, and the surrounding tissue edema fluctuates and develops into an abscess. The size of the mass varies, mostly the size of an egg, and is often accompanied by enlarged inguinal lymph nodes. In severe cases, there may be systemic symptoms such as fever and headache. If not treated, the abscess may rupture on its own, and the pus will flow out, and the local pain will be relieved, the congestion and edema will be reduced, and the systemic symptoms will disappear. When the pressure inside the abscess increases, the surface skin becomes thinner and the abscess ruptures on its own. If the rupture is large, it can drain on its own and the inflammation will subside quickly and heal. If the rupture is small, the pus cannot be completely drained and the disease may recur. Examination shows local skin redness, swelling, fever, and obvious tenderness. Sometimes systemic symptoms such as elevated body temperature and increased white blood cell count may occur. If it is a Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection, thin, light yellow pus may flow out when squeezing the local area. When an abscess is formed, the pain intensifies and a sense of fluctuation can be felt. In severe cases, the diameter of the abscess can reach 5 to 6 cm. The patient will have systemic symptoms such as fever, and the inguinal lymph nodes may increase to varying degrees. Patients with acute Bartholinitis will experience local pain and swelling. The pain is most severe when the Bartholin gland abscess is formed. There is often fever, chills, and less constipation. Sometimes there is difficulty in urination and defecation, and there are lumps. The surface skin of the lumps is red, thin, and the surrounding tissues are edematous. When the inflammation is severe, it can develop to the perineum and the contralateral vulva. If you suffer from Bartholinitis, you must go to the hospital in time to control your condition. From this article, we can clearly see that Bartholinitis brings great harm to women, and there is also the possibility of lesions, so timely treatment is needed. In addition, patients should also pay attention to wearing loose underwear, pay attention to the cleanliness of their genitals, and avoid excessive sexual activity. |
