Recurrent bacterial vaginosis requires attention to diet

If a woman develops bacterial vaginosis and does not receive timely care, her body will easily become abnormal. She should pay attention to not excessively cleaning the genitals or using any washing liquids, as this will easily destroy the integrity of the vaginal environment. Patients need a reasonable diet, and patients with bacterial vaginosis need to pay attention to the taboos in their diet.

(1) Avoid spicy food. Eating too much spicy food (such as peppers, ginger, onions, garlic, etc.) can easily cause dryness and heat, which can lead to accumulation of heat and toxins in the internal organs, resulting in symptoms such as swollen and painful gums, sores in the mouth and tongue, short and dark urine, burning sensation in the anus, and itchy pain in the front and back of the vulva, which can aggravate the symptoms of this disease.

(2) Avoid seafood. Smelly foods, such as mandarin fish, yellow croaker, hairtail, black fish, shrimp, crab and other aquatic products can promote dampness and heat, which can aggravate vulvar itching and hinder the disappearance of inflammation. Therefore, they should be avoided.

(3) Avoid sweet and greasy foods. Greasy foods such as lard, fatty pork, cream, butter, mutton fat, etc., and high-sugar foods such as chocolate, candy, desserts, cream cakes, etc., these foods help to increase moisture and heat, which will increase the secretion of leucorrhea and affect the treatment effect.

(4) Avoid smoking and drinking. Smoking can make the disease worse because the nicotine in tobacco can weaken the binding force between arterial blood and oxygen, and alcohol can promote dampness and heat, so it should be avoided. Similarly, foods containing alcohol, such as fermented rice wine and medicinal wine, should not be consumed.
