There are many causes of postmenopausal bleeding

Secondary menopause refers to a condition in which a woman has regular menstruation, but her menstruation stops for more than 6 months due to some pathological reasons. If not treated in time, the consequences will seriously endanger the health of women. The following are common causes of the disease:

1. Endometrial damage or adhesion (common in cases of multiple curettage and excessive damage to the endometrium, resulting in intrauterine adhesion).

2. Chronic wasting diseases such as tuberculous endometritis, premature ovarian failure, polycystic ovary, functional ovarian tumors, anemia, etc.

3. Inject long-acting contraceptives or take oral contraceptives.

4. Malnutrition and excessive weight loss can cause menopause: During World War II, women imprisoned in concentration camps almost all experienced menopause due to malnutrition, and once released, their menstruation gradually returned to normal. Some women ate too little and suffered from anorexia in order to lose weight, which caused menopause; other women had digestive tract dysfunction, which made it difficult to absorb nutrients (such as severe gastrointestinal diseases), which also caused menopause.

5. Influence of other environmental factors: such as excessive fatigue, cold stimulation (such as drinking too many cold drinks or taking cold water during menstruation).

6. Mental factors: fear, tension, fear of pregnancy, and eagerness to have a child (false pregnancy) can all cause menopause. Mental factors also played a big role in the menopause of women in concentration camps during World War II.

7. Menopause caused by diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland: Since menstruation is completed by the close "cooperation" of the central nervous system and female reproductive organs, diseases of the central nervous system, brain, hypothalamus, pituitary gland or the influence of certain factors can also cause menopause, especially dysfunction or diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland can cause menopause, such as meningitis, encephalitis, brain damage, radiotherapy, brain tumors, etc.
