How to care for vulvar itching

Vulvar itching is a problem that troubles many women. This problem cannot be ignored. Once a woman finds that her body is itchy and uncomfortable, she should seek treatment in time. Because vulvar itching can affect the health of the body and interfere with normal life, don't wait until the problem is too serious before paying attention to it.

1. Pay attention to personal hygiene

Make sure to keep the affected area dry, ventilated, and cool. Wear loose, breathable, comfortable, soft, and moisture-absorbent clothes. It is best to wear underwear made of pure cotton or acrylic or other chemical fibers. Do not wear thongs, tight nylon pants, or strange underwear, as they cannot protect the genitals well and will leave a health hazard.

2.【Clean the affected area regularly】

Women tend to like cleanliness and wash their vulva once a day, or even repeatedly. However, the female vulva has a self-cleaning function, so it only needs to be washed two or three times a week. When washing, it is best not to use soap, salt water or any detergent. Because the medicine contains alkaline ingredients, excessive cleaning and disinfection will cause the flora of the vulva to be unbalanced, leading to local inflammation and making the itching more severe. Usually, it is enough to wash it with warm water.

3. [Cold towel wet compress vulva]

When the vulva is itchy, do not apply any medicine. Go to the hospital for a checkup to see if there is fungus or trichomonas. If there is a disease, treat it in time. Do not abuse itching water. At home, you can use a thick cold towel to wet the vulva. Wash the towel every 3 minutes and do not make it hot. Continue to apply cold compress until the vulva is no longer itchy.

4. Take a bath with mugwort water

If you are in the countryside and feel itchy, you can go outside and pick a handful of moxa leaves and soak them in water. Bathing with moxa leaves water has a good therapeutic effect on the itching symptoms of the body. After taking a bath, you will feel that the itching has been significantly improved.

5. Keep your vulva clean

The skin of the vulva is soaked in menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, urine and sweat, which may cause chronic inflammation and even itching. This part of the skin must be kept clean. If there is vaginal secretion, do not use sanitary pads. When using toilet paper, pay attention to the correct method and keep it as dry as possible.

6. Sexual life

Having a normal sex life is crucial. Some people have vaginal itching because they have an abnormal sex life, such as having too many sexual partners and having promiscuous sex with others. This will increase the chance of cross-infection. So you must be clean and pay attention to clean sex life.
