Symptoms of ovulation bleeding in women

Ovulation is a term we often hear. Many female friends will choose to have sex during this period, which can greatly increase the chance of conception. During ovulation, the estrogen level drops temporarily, and the endometrium loses the support of hormones and partially sheds, causing irregular bleeding in the vagina. This is ovulation bleeding. So what are the symptoms of ovulation bleeding?

Ovulation bleeding symptoms

1. Bleeding Color

The amount of bleeding during ovulation is not much, less than the normal amount. Sometimes you can only see a little on the toilet paper. It will stop after two or three days, and will not exceed four or five days at most. The color of ovulation bleeding is somewhat like the color of menstruation, dark red or dark purple, sometimes light red, or even just coffee-colored secretions. If the amount of bleeding during ovulation is heavy, just like menstruation, and lasts for more than 7 days, then you need to go to the hospital for examination to rule out other diseases, such as vaginal lesions, cervical lesions, etc.

2. Abdominal pain

Some female friends also experience abdominal pain during ovulation bleeding, which can be mild or severe. It usually manifests as pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen, and some may extend to the legs, which is what we call "ovulation pain". This pain usually lasts for several hours, and some patients may last for two to three days. This is mainly due to the rupture of the follicle, and the fluid in the follicle flows into the abdominal cavity, irritating the peritoneum and causing abdominal pain.

The above is what we introduced to you about the color of ovulation bleeding and the symptoms of ovulation bleeding. Ovulation bleeding is a very normal phenomenon, and you don’t have to worry too much, but you still need to pay attention to special situations, such as heavy bleeding, long duration, etc., which may be caused by other diseases and should be taken seriously.
