How to determine the amount of pelvic fluid

How to determine the amount of pelvic fluid

With the increasing popularity of physical examinations, many women will include B-ultrasound examinations in their annual physical examinations. Many women will discover many hidden gynecological diseases through B-ultrasound examinations, and pelvic effusion is one of them. In clinical practice, pelvic effusion can be divided into more or less. Generally, less effusion is relatively normal. So, how do you determine the amount of pelvic effusion?

Pelvic effusion is a common sign of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which is often caused by the failure to completely treat acute pelvic inflammatory disease, or the poor physical condition of the patient, and the prolonged course of the disease. There are many treatment methods now, such as surgery, hot water bath, acupuncture, Chinese medicine enema, etc. So what Chinese medicine should be taken for pelvic effusion? In fact, it is difficult to cure this disease with only drug treatment. The most important thing is to check the cause and then treat it.

Pelvic effusion of 6mm is within the normal range. The normal value of pelvic effusion should be less than 10mm. Physiological pelvic effusion is less than 10mm. During a woman's menstrual period and a few days after her menstrual period, some menstrual blood may flow back along the fallopian tube to the pelvic cavity, and ultrasound will show a small amount of effusion. Or after ovulation, follicular fluid will flow into the pelvic cavity along with the ruptured follicles. Generally, the amount is very small, and a slightly larger amount can be seen under ultrasound. These two types can disappear naturally, no treatment is required, and they will not cause harm to the body.

If the pelvic effusion exceeds 10 mm, it is mostly pathological pelvic effusion. At this time, the pelvic effusion is considered to be quite serious. Most pelvic effusions are caused by exudation of chronic pelvic inflammation. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be inflammation of the gynecological system such as pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometriosis, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. It may also be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. There are also a few caused by ruptured ectopic pregnancy, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. Therefore, physiological pelvic effusion needs to be actively treated.
