What causes endometriosis?

What causes endometriosis?

Under normal circumstances, the endometrium covers the surface of the uterine cavity. If the endometrium grows in other places, it is endometriosis. When endometriosis occurs, its function will change with the level of estrogen. What are the causes of endometriosis? Understanding its causes can help us better prevent and treat it. Let's learn about it together.

1. Menstrual disorders:

In particular, shortened menstrual cycles, frequent menstruation, heavy menstrual flow, prolonged menstruation, abdominal pain during menstruation, etc. These menstrual disorders increase the chances of menstrual blood reflux and the release of endometrial fragments.

2. Multiple miscarriages and caesarean sections:

When multiple abortions are performed, it is difficult to avoid endometrial fragments and blood entering the pelvic cavity through the fallopian tubes, causing endometriosis.

3. Excessive stress and poor immunity:

This is one of the causes of endometriosis. Long-term mental stress can cause autonomic nervous system dysfunction and affect the body's endocrine regulation.

4. Frequent sex during menstruation:

During menstruation, if you do not pay attention to emotional regulation, become overly excited, anxious, fearful, overworked, or do strenuous exercise, especially if you do not avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation;

5. Abnormal position of uterus:

The normal position of the uterus is tilted and flexed forward to facilitate the outflow of menstrual blood. If the uterus is tilted and flexed backward, it can easily cause poor outflow of menstrual blood and create conditions for menstrual blood to flow back into the abdominal cavity.
